Event technology platform Weeztix and the Nighttime Foundation today announced a partnership that lets ticket buyers donate to the Foundation at checkout.

Event organisers using Weeztix can now allow ticket buyers to add a donation to the Nighttime Foundation at checkout. The partnership kicks off at Amsterdam Dance Event (ADE), 21 to 25 October 2026, where the Weeztix Hub will host NightFlows, a European mapping of community-based care practices in electronic music.

Giving back

The Weeztix donation feature is part of its approach to more sustainable events, set out in the guide Three steps to more sustainable events. Organisers turn it on in their ticket shop, and ticket buyers choose whether to add a contribution at checkout.

With the Nighttime Foundation added as a recipient, organisers can direct that support to the people and places that make nightlife happen. Donations fund the Foundation's work in three areas:

  • Innovation: new ideas in sustainability, safety and technology for nightlife
  • Education: reports, mentorships and peer-to-peer learning for night culture leaders
  • Community: events, summits and campaigns that connect the scene with decision-makers

"Electronic music has always been built by its communities, and this is a simple way for organisers and their ticket buyers to give something back to it. Adding a donation at checkout takes seconds, but across thousands of tickets it adds up to real support for the Nighttime Foundation and the work it does for the scene." Joost Aanen, Co-Founder, Weeztix

The Weeztix partnership is the Foundation's next major collaboration after its recently announced partnership with Charlotte de Witte. All proceeds from her EP The Resistance, released on 24 September 2026 on her label KNTXT, go to the Nighttime Foundation.

Kick-off at ADE: NightFlows at the Weeztix Hub

The partnership kicks off at the 30th edition of ADE, where the Weeztix Hub returns to Keizer Culinair, next to Felix Meritis, from 21 to 23 October. Visitors can meet NightFlows, an independent research project led by researcher and architect Mariaelena Busani through Connexxa, with the Nighttime Foundation as knowledge partner.

Nightlife communities have built their own answers to unsafe environments: awareness teams, consent protocols, collective mobility and safer spaces. This work is rarely documented or credited. NightFlows treats it as knowledge and returns authorship to the people who built it.

By October, NightFlows will have completed around 30 interviews with organisers and care providers in Italy, Spain, Portugal, Luxembourg, France, Belgium, Germany and beyond. The result is a first structured mapping of these practices, released as a report and an open dataset under CC BY 4.0. The research shifts the frame from safety as the absence of risk to wellbeing as the right to full presence and enjoyment.

The link to the partnership is direct: donations raised through Weeztix ticket sales help fund research like NightFlows that strengthens the scene from within.

"Electronic music events are bubbles of care and collectivity because people work on this. They design and implement services and infrastructures enabling access and full enjoyment for all identities. NightFlows is documenting practitioners' knowledge. Being present at Weeztix's space at ADE means putting collective care where it can be seen, recognised, and resourced by the industry that depends on it." Mariaelena Busani, Lead Researcher & Founder, NightFlows (Connexxa)
