Ever wondered which of your campaigns are truly converting? Or when your shop sees the biggest rush of buyers? With Shop Insights, that guesswork is over.
This brand-new feature in your Weeztix dashboard puts your shop performance front and centre, giving you clear, actionable data that helps you make smarter decisions.
And here’s the best part - in many cases you don’t have to do a thing. A lot of platforms automatically add a UTM tracking link for you when you share a link to your shop.
Why Shop Insights?
Every organiser wants to boost their sales. But to improve, you first need to understand what’s actually happening. That’s where Shop Insights comes in.
-
Spot peak sales moments
Learn when people are buying tickets: weekdays, weekends, mornings, or right after that Instagram drop. -
Track source performance
See which channels are driving traffic and conversions. Was it your newsletter, that last-minute WhatsApp, or the DJ’s shoutout on Instagram? -
Compare shops
Running multiple ticket shops for the same event? Shop Insights shows you which one performs best, helping you double down on what works.
But wait… how does Shop Insights know where people are coming from? Two words: UTM tags. Let’s explain. The good news? In many cases, you’re already using them without even realising it.
What is a UTM tag?
UTM stands for Urchin Tracking Module (not very catchy). But it’s a simple way to track where your traffic is coming from.
When you add a UTM tag to a shop link, it tells Shop Insights what the source of that visit is. That means you can see exactly how many people clicked from:
- Instagram stories
- Your Mailchimp campaign
- The artist’s personal newsletter
- A paid ad on Google or Facebook
- Wherever else you’ve shared a link
UTMs don’t affect the look or function of your shop. They just help you track what’s working and what’s not. A UTM link is just your regular shop URL with a few extra details added at the end. These “tags” tell Shop Insights where your visitors came from, what campaign they clicked on, and how they got to your shop.
Here’s what a UTM-tagged link might look like:
How to create custom UTM links
Creating UTM-tagged links might sound technical, but it’s actually a quick and easy process. You don’t have to code anything. Just use Google’s free URL builder tool.
Paste your shop link, fill in the campaign details, and the tool will generate a tagged link for you. You can then copy and paste the UTM link into your promo post or email. Once you’ve shared your link, Shop Insights will start tracking performance immediately, helping you make smarter decisions with every campaign.
Weeztix Tip:
Platforms such as Facebook and TikTok automatically append UTM parameters to shared links, allowing Shop Insights to track performance without any manual setup.
Real-time insights lead to better decisions
Now your UTM-tagged links are live, Shop Insights does the rest. Your most important data is right where you need it: inside your Weeztix dashboard. You don’t need to dig through spreadsheets or third-party analytics tools. Instead, you get a clear overview of how your shop is performing, updated in real-time. You’ll see:
- Conversion rates per source
- Revenue per campaign
- The exact moments when sales spike
Use this to determine where to allocate your ad spend, identify which influencers or promoters deliver actual results, and decide when to send your next push.
What makes this so powerful is the speed at which you can adjust. If a campaign isn’t converting, you can tweak it while it’s still running. If one promoter outperforms another, you’ll see it right away. And because all insights are broken down by shop, you can compare performance across different dates, event types, genres, or marketing approaches.
What’s more? We've already loaded all your historical data, allowing you to review and compare past as well as shops already on sale.
If you want to give it a try, go to your Weeztix dashboard, choose a shop, and select Insights. You’ll see that all your data is ready to go.
